Online Gambling

Pros:

1.       Some online gambling websites will offer vacation packages or signing bonuses for joining their website.

2.       Can gamble in your pajamas in the comfort of your own home.

3.       You don’t have to travel long distances, such as to Las Vegas or Atlantic City, to gamble.

4.       You don’t have to deal with obnoxious, annoying, or drunk gamblers as in a real casino.

5.       You don’t have to tip the dealer.

Cons:

1.       It may take up to two to four weeks to receive money (or credit) from cashing in if using a credit card.  However, if using a debit card, it may only take three to five business days.

2.       Unlike a physical casino, online casinos lack in customer service.  Some sites may give a toll-free number to call or an email address; whereas others may not give a number and could take a few days to respond to an email.  Some sites seem to only be concerned with taking your money.

3.       Most sites are able to make up rules as they go.  So, in the event of a dispute, the casino usually has the final say.

4.       When using credit/debit cards, your statement will be unnerving to balance because most sites do not indicate a name only the merchant bank.

Net Neutrality

Pros:

1.       Enables the little guy to be a part of the same net as big, high-tech, corporations.

2.      Free of restrictions on content, sites or platforms, on the kinds of equipment that may be attached, and on the modes of communication allowed, as well as one where communication is not unreasonably degraded by other communication streams.

Cons:

1.      Any non-neutral scheme could ISPs allow  to unfairly discriminate and control which data they prioritize, such as data from their own sponsors or media interests.

2.      Allowing for preferential treatment of Internet traffic, or tiered services, would put newer online companies at a disadvantage and slow innovation in online services.
